When Reliable Tire in Blackwood, New Jersey decided their 149,400 square foot warehouse needed a new roof, they asked if DDS could install the most cost-effective roof system. DDS received Reliable Tire’s approval to install a new urethane restoration coating system that saved Reliable Tire approximately 60% over the cost of a traditional roof tear-off and re-roof. Once DDS confirmed the underlying metal deck was structurally sound, DDS made spot repairs as needed in any areas that had previously been leaking. DDS then power-washed the entire roof for proper adhesion. When dry, DDS first installed a 15ML base coat of urethane to the cleaned roof. DDS embedded polyester mesh into the urethane, particularly on and around seams, any areas DDS repaired, and around penetrations such as vent pipes, curbs, and parapet walls. When the first coat was dry, DDS installed a second, 15ML topcoat of urethane. The entire roof received a 10-year warranty. This is the last roof warranty Reliable Tire will ever need on their warehouse: the warranty is extendable for an additional 10-year period by DDS coming back and installing one 15ML coat each time the warranty expires
